This is a beautiful, sparkling cocktail for those who love a little spice. Puebla’s famous ancho chile liqueur is the star of the show, buoyed by a dash of orange and a shot of mezcal or tequila. Topped off by sparkling wine, the cocktail both refreshes and thrills!
INGREDIENTS
- 1 1/4 ounce Ancho Reyes
- 3/4 ounce orange liqueur (we like Alma Finca)
- 1 ounce mezcal or tequila (we like Del Maguey Vida Puebla mezcal and Codigo Blanco tequila)
- Sparkling wine
INSTRUCTIONS
In a white wine glass, stir together the Ancho Reyes, orange liqueur and tequila or mezcal. Fill the glass about ⅓ with ice, then top with 3 to 4 ounces of sparkling wine and give the whole thing a stir.
