I’m excited to share this brand new video on #GivingTuesday detailing just a few stories from the 200-plus farms that have been supported by the Frontera Farmer Foundation.
Our little 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization is committed to promoting small, sustainable farms serving the Chicago area by providing them with capital development grants.
The Foundation envisions a year-round interchange between sustainable farmers and consumers, including farmers’ market patrons and chefs, in which seasonal local agriculture provides the foundation for sustainable regional cuisine.
We’ve awarded about $3 million since 2003 and we’re not done yet. None of that happens without you, so please consider a donation to support local farmers. Thank you.
