It’s been a whirlwind stretch of life for us here working in the restaurants. We know it’s been the same for you.
So as we say goodbye to 2021 and look ahead to 2022, we’d like to do what we do best: playing host to your long-overdue celebrations with friends and family, and serving up great-tasting food and drinks with generous-spirited Mexican hospitality. Here’s a look at what’s happening on New Year’s Eve:
Bar Sótano: A special five-course menu from Chef Rishi Manoj Kumar — Shrimp & Scallop Aguachile, Beef Tenderloin with Oaxacan mole chichilo, the works — with optional mezcal pairings selected by spirits director Julianna Arquilla and a playlist full of bangers to make your dinner party a party dinner. $95 per person • Full menu and pre-paid tickets on Resy
Topolobampo: Chicago’s favorite fine dining NYE experience. A celebratory six-course menu (plus snacks to start and plenty of surprises from the kitchen) with optional wine and agave pairings (or ring it in with a bottle of Champagne and hand-shaken margaritas.) The dinner begins with Ora King Salmon Aguachile, ends with Cake and Ice Cream and in the middle we’ll proudly offer a generous pour of beautifully complex Black Mole to accompany Wagyu Beef Ribeye grilled over a wood-fire, among other carefully crafted courses. $200 per person • Full menu and pre-paid reservations on Tock
Frontera Grill: Join us in our lively dining room or toasty heated patio, where we’re playing the hits. Our NYE menu includes a parade of appetizers, our staff’s favorite entrees from 2021 and a trio of desserts from the pastry kitchen. We’re opening special wines and crafting holiday cocktails all night long. $110 pre-paid ticket • pre-paid reservations on Resy
Xoco: Business as usual for our fast-casual emporium of tortas, caldos, churros and chocolate. Open for in-person dining, carryout and delivery to your NYE parties — because all good parties need a spread of super-flavorful, lovingly prepared Mexican food. Order Xoco
