Buy a YouTube Membership, Learn Something New & Support Our Staff

We’ve gotten so many inquiries from folks wishing to purchase paid memberships to Rick’s YouTube channel as a holiday gift. What a great idea!

Channel memberships offer a steady stream of cooking videos, expert instruction from Rick Bayless, live cooking classes and quite a few fun surprises along the way. Plus, proceeds from the memberships support salaries for our restaurant staff. It’s just all-around amazing.

But this being 2020 and all, things are a little more difficult than they ought to be, so we need to take a moment to walk you through how to give these memberships as a gift. Here’s how:

  1. Purchase a YouTube Gift Card at this Amazon link (it’s the only place they’re available)
  2. Email the gift card recipient (you can choose the date the gift card gets emailed)
  3. If you want to print a little something to give as a gift, download and print this card we made, which includes redemption instructions.

Note: We offer two membership levels. The “Live with Rick” ($9.99/month) level includes access to our monthly live cooking classes, live chats with Rick Bayless and at least two brand new cooking videos per week. The “Kitchen Club” ($4.99/month) level offers two brand new cooking videos per week. Factor those prices in when buying your gift card.

If you’ve arrived here in search of the way to redeem your YouTube gift card, here’s how to do that:

  1. Select “Get Your Gift Card” on the email you received
  2. Copy the Gift Card Code
  3. Go to YouTube.com/Redeem and enter your code
  4. Join the Rick Bayless Member Channel at this link

  1. i would like to know if the membership for”kitchen Club” fOR 4.99, will it include receiving the ingredients that one needs a few days before to prepare for the cooking video/class

    1. Hi Elizabeth! The “Kitchen Club” level won’t include the live cookalongs (and getting recipes in advance.)

Those are reserved for the “Live with Rick!” level.

But we’ll still be posting at least two cooking videos per week for all levels, and we’re providing written recipes for all of those.

Thanks so much for your interest!

  2. What day will the live cooking classes be? I’m considering getting it for my sister but I know how busy she is.

    1. Hi Felix, our first live cooking class is scheduled for Dec. 29 at 6 p.m. Central time. We think all classes will always be set for 6 p.m. but we’re going to gauge turnout for the first one and go from there.

Thanks for your interest! We know you’re sister will love it!

  3. Although I love what Rick brings to the table, I no longer find value in the Member-Only video club. How do I cancel my membership?

    1. We’re really sorry to see you go. What would change your mind?

I’m sorry to say that since it’s not Frontera that handles the transaction, we can’t cancel the membership or issue a refund. You’ll have to take these steps to process the cancellation through YouTube. Here’s how:

      – Navigate to youtube.com/rickbayless
      – Look for the “See Perks” button and click it
      – You’ll see a “gear” icon in gray. Click that. That will prompt a drop-down menu of options.
      – Click “End Membership & Perks”
      – Click “End Membership”
