Over twenty years ago, Rick and Deann Bayless opened Frontera Grill, a small, hip-casual storefront restaurant in Chicago's River North featuring contemporary versions of Mexico's little-known regional specialties. A couple of years later came Topolobampo, riding the coattails of Frontera's popularity smack-dab into the world of fine dining. Chicagothe United States, reallyhad its first honest-to-goodness fine-dining restaurant celebrating the diverse cuisines of Mexico.
Cooking both in casual and refined styles, the restaurants garnered national accolades. Critics praised the freshness of the food, the nuances coaxed from dozens of chiles, the variety of dishes that wend their way through the ever-changing menu, the polished service, the fine art and folk art that create one of Chicago's most distinctive dining environments. In a nutshell, Frontera and Topolobampo offer a unique experience that consistently pleases even the most sophisticated clientele.
We can create the Frontera/Topolobampo experience in settings away from the restaurant, toofrom homes and galleries to cultural institutions, specially constructed tents, you name it. Though we specialize in working our magic at smaller celebratory events, we've orchestrated everything from quiet business dinners to raucous fiestas for hundreds.
Whether you're looking for the casual vitality of Frontera or the comfortable elegance of Topolobampo, the goal of our creative team is to craft the perfect, one-of-a-kind experience for your occasion. We build from a thorough understanding of your desires and dreams, weave in the uncompromising quality of our food and service, then bring it all to life in an imaginative settingwith entertainment, too, if that's in the plans.
We'd love to put our imaginations and experience to work for your next party. Please let us know when we can help.
