The Uncovered Wall


They brought down the north wall... and oh how can small glimpses be deceiving. With the drywall down we are now faced with an ancient looking brick wall heavily soiled with a myriad of rough spots, rebuild window jams and severe tuckpointing issues.

In order to salvage the wall we would have to invest an unreasonable amount of time and money to sandblast, tuckpoint and coat the wall. The decision came pretty quickly to Rick - put the wall back up.

As much as we appreciated the quality and depth the exposed brick brought to the space, it was in no condition to be a starring design element.
